Pet Hygiene, The Ways of Keeping Your Pets Healthy and Clean

Ever since this Pandemic has started, you have been seeing how hard it has been to adopt a pet or even find one. But then that one day you finally find that perfect dog or cat and everything seems to be getting better. This might be your first Dog or Cat, or it could be your 100th pet. Since this animal has joined your family you will most likely see them as part of it now and you want to make sure that they get the best care! This includes playing with them, walking them (If they are a dog) I mean if you can some how get your cat to wear a harness you can give them a walk as well. Do not forget about feeding them a nice healthy balance breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Lastly, you got to make sure their oral hygiene is all done as well, you do not want a stinky dog or cat running around the house now do you? Depending on what type of breed you have, you can either wash, trim, or brush them at home or if you do not have the time why not give them a pet spa day! With most cats they just groom themselves, just make sure you cut those pesky long nails of their, so they do not destroy your furniture.

 

Bathing Your Dog

Things can get tricky when it comes to bathing your dog, because if you have ever seen videos of dog owners trying to get their dogs into the bath it can be dramatic. Some dogs just do not like to get wet when they are forced too or just at all. But it is recommended that you bath your dog at least once a month. You do not want that awful dog smell lingering around the house and on your furniture forever, so get out that shampoo and scrub away! When you are finished bathing your dog and you need to brush out that coat of theirs especially long-haired dogs make sure you get that brush that will work for them. Some examples are slicker brushes, which have fine, short wired close together and are on a flat surface. There’s Rakes, Bristle Brushes and Pin Brushes.

 Brushing Their Teeth

As pets do not need as much attention as humans, they still need a little attention. Two ways you can practice pet’s oral hygiene and make sure it is up to standard is you can take your pet to an animal dentist but that is completely up to you or you can even do it from the comfort of your own home. Especially if your pet has some anxiety of going in the car and or too the vet. There are different types of toothbrushes for animals which have soft bristles and are specially made for your pets.

Does your dog or cat have bad breath? With specialty foods and or treats you can go get to help battle the stinky dog or cat breath! Dog and Cats often get into things they should not so make sure everything is put away and be aware because it could damage their teeth.

Now it is all up to you to make sure they are well taken care of and they feel like they are part of the family!
